How GLOW Got Its Name According to the official company history, the founders were asked to submit three possible names for the new company. The first choice? Already taken. The second? Also taken. So they moved on to option three. Unfortunately, the person filling out the paperwork misunderstood what the form was asking for. Instead of providing a third company name, they thought they were being asked to give another example of what the company would sell. So they wrote: “Got Lumber & Other Wares.” Someone in corporate saw the paperwork and thought: «G.L.O.W.» “That's a pretty good name.” And apparently nobody stopped them. B...
