🌊 LAIZER BEAM: TIDAL FREQUENCYAn Interview with Surfer BeamThe FYC Boardwalk Journal

🌊 LAIZER BEAM: TIDAL FREQUENCY An Interview with Surfer Beam The FYC Boardwalk Journal The boardwalk was unusually busy this afternoon. Apparently, word travels fast when a blue-gray cat disappears inside a massive wave, shoots through the barrel, and comes flying out the other side while everyone else on the beach is convinced the wave is about to collapse. We found Surfer Beam at Catch of the Day, still wearing her wetsuit, her modified surfboard leaning against the wall beside her. She was halfway through dinner. We asked if we could talk. She said yes. She also asked if we were paying for the fish. We agreed. --- FYC JOURNAL: First question. What happened out there? SURFER BEAM: I went surfing. FYC JOURNAL: You went through a wave everyone else thought was going to collapse. SURFER BEAM: Yeah. FYC JOURNAL: You weren't worried? SURFER BEAM: I was watching it. There's a difference. --- FYC JOURNAL: What were you looking for? SURFER BEAM: The opening. Everybody sa...

A Little Delay… Because We’re Making ThingsThere’s been a little delay in the blog lately.

A Little Delay… Because We’re Making Things There’s been a little delay in the blog lately. Not because nothing is happening. Quite the opposite. I’ve been busy designing buttons, working on new products, and getting things ready for the upcoming Movie Night/Week release. The closer we get, the more pieces start coming together — and I’m getting closer to what I’d call the final product. I’m also learning a few things along the way. Like the button machine. There’s definitely a learning curve when it comes to getting the artwork, sizing, cutting, alignment, and assembly just right. The first batch came out pretty good, although there are a few small flaws. But honestly? That feels appropriate. Because this whole universe has always been a little like that. Slightly flawed. A little unpredictable. Things don't always line up exactly the way you planned. And yet... Nothing is actually wrong. The first buttons aren't perfect, but they're good. And every batch is teaching me so...

FORKLIFT YACHT CLUB: COMMERCIAL BREAK Series

Image
FORKLIFT YACHT CLUB: COMMERCIAL BREAK The commercials have arrived. Forklift Yacht Club is starting something new: a collection of standalone musical stories that feel like commercials, sound like show tunes, and somehow keep turning into something much bigger. Welcome to Forklift Yacht Club: Commercial Break. The first two songs introduce the series through the unlikely partnership of Rowdy and Crosswire, where ordinary warehouse conversations have a habit of becoming much more complicated than they should. SONG 01 — WHAT IS FORKLIFT YACHT CLUB? Crosswire found a little Forklift Yacht Club button in the warehouse. He didn't think much of it. Then he noticed Rowdy wearing the same symbol. One simple question leads Crosswire down a rabbit hole of stories, characters, strange transmissions, distant worlds, and adventures he never knew existed. What starts with a button becomes a discovery that Forklift Yacht Club is much bigger than a name. What is Forklift Yacht Club? Th...

He’s the floor boss energy that keeps the docks running, the one who sees everything and misses nothing. # Introducing "Dock Spirits" — The Newest Forklift Yacht Club Concept Album

Image
# Introducing "Dock Spirits" — The Newest Forklift Yacht Club Concept Album Dock Spirits There's a gate somewhere on a dock you've probably driven past a hundred times. Sodium lights. A row of forklifts sleeping in a line. And if you know the sound — two taps of a wrench against steel — you know you're standing at the edge of something more than a warehouse. Since April, Forklift Yacht Club has grown into a whole body of music, stories, and artwork built around that world. Tonight, we're adding the latest chapter: *Dock Spirits*. ## The Story *Dock Spirits* follows a rookie forklift operator on their first night shift, who stumbles into the secret order of the Club. Across five chapters, they learn the two-tap salute, read the sacred logbooks kept on every machine, hear the legend of a vanished dock hero lost in a storm, and — when the dock itself is threatened — find out what it really means to lift with purpose and dock with honor. It's indus...

Fur Webs Has Arrived

Image
Fur Webs Has Arrived Sometimes a character tells you who they really are. When we first introduced Spider Cat, it was a working title that fit the original concept. But as the story grew, so did the character. The more we wrote, the more it became clear that this wasn't just a cat with spider abilities. He's a warehouse worker with seven opinionated tails, a talent for finding trouble, and a habit of solving problems in the most unexpected ways. So it's official... Spider Cat is now Fur Webs. The full in-universe title is: The Fur-Coated Web and the Seven Tails But, thanks to Dockhound doing what Dockhound does best, the nickname "Fur Webs" stuck—and everyone knows that's exactly what he'll keep calling him. This name captures the personality of the character far better than the original ever did. It sounds like an anti-hero, fits the warehouse world, and leaves plenty of room for mystery as the story unfolds. The recent songs explore Fur Webs ...

The Midnight Advice Hour: The Roommate Files – Part 2 Is Live!

The Midnight Advice Hour: The Roommate Files – Part 2 Is Live! The radio is back on. The Midnight Advice Hour: Tonight, our four late-night listeners settle in once again to hear another round of roommate problems from the human world. To them, these stories make perfect sense... most of the time. Why would someone complain about sweaters left everywhere? That's just more warm places to nap. Why would moving one chess piece cause such an argument? Although... opinions are divided on that one. Some believe finishing the game was only fair. Others insist the real missed opportunity was knocking the entire board onto the floor. As always, the callers never hear the cats, and the cats never quite understand humans. That's where the fun begins. Part 2 continues the story with new calls, new misunderstandings, and even more late-night commentary from Bianca, Claudia, Rowdy, and Jacques as they quietly analyze the strange habits of their human roommates. If you've been following t...

D.R.A.M. — Maintenance Logs | Part 2 Now Available

D.R.A.M. — Maintenance Logs | Part 2 Now Available The next chapter of D.R.A.M. — Maintenance Logs is now live. D.R.A.M. — Maintenance Logs These songs continue following Dram after the events that changed his programming forever. His new adaptive core isn't making him more human—it simply allows him to ask questions no maintenance droid was ever meant to ask. This release explores the smaller moments that slowly reshape him. - A stand-up comedy routine where Dram unknowingly discovers dry sarcasm. - A coffee investigation that accidentally teaches him humans intentionally drink things he classifies as industrial solvent. - His first attempt to understand what a "break" actually is. - Learning that some repairs are impossible to ignore, even when no one else notices them. - And the first hints that Dram may be seeing patterns long before anyone else realizes there's a problem. Unlike the larger adventures in the Forklift Yacht Club universe, Maintenance Logs is told e...

Dramática Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Architect’s Oversight

Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Architect’s Oversight The obsidian didn't open, but it became translucent. Behind the dark ripple, the silhouette of the Captain appeared, leaning against a console that looked far more advanced than anything the crew had seen on the Bridge. "You've corrected the deviation," the Captain’s voice crackled through the engineering speakers, sounding weary but relieved. "I can feel the hull's 'Needle' finally stopping its spin." The Legend of Dr. Ouroboros Loop "Captain, we found the schematics," Benny said, clutching the data-pad. "It wasn't a conspiracy. It was a man. Dr. Ouroboros Loop, the lead engineer. He named the drive system after himself." "Loop," the Captain sighed, a hollow sound. "He was a brilliant mathematician, but he was a man of three dimensions. He viewed the 'Blink' as a straight line on a flat map. He told me the jump from Point A to Point B would be so insta...

Dramática Chapter Twenty-Six: The Heavy Swing

Chapter Twenty-Six: The Heavy Swing The air on Deck 9 was thick with the smell of ozone and old, wet iron. Claudia wiped sweat from her forehead, her 2360-jumpsuit soaked. Around her, the team was struggling with the Quadrantal Correctors—massive, hollow iron spheres that weighed nearly a ton each. "We have to get these spheres to the aft-bulkhead!" Claudia shouted over the grinding of the cargo loaders. "If we don't move the mass, the ship's 'needle' will never find the year 2360!" The Polarization Problem In a normal ship, the compass sits in a binnacle. On the Dramática, the "Compass" is the Blink Drive, and the "Binnacle" is the entire hull. Deck 1 (North Pole): Saturated with high-frequency "Silver" energy (+B_t). It wants to snap back to 2320. Deck 9 (South Pole): Saturated with low-frequency "Blue" energy (-B_t). It wants to drag the ship into 2400. Because these poles are reversed, the stabilizers are f...

Dramática Chapter Twenty-Five: The Redacted Constant

Chapter Twenty-Five: The Redacted Constant While Caspian was trying to explain the magnetic deviation to the crew, Benny—a junior technician from the 2320 "Silver" Echoes—was doing something he wasn't supposed to. Benny had a habit of "ghosting" through the ship's legacy subsystems, looking for spare parts to fix the coffee machines on Deck 1. He wasn't looking for a conspiracy. He was looking for a fuse. In a dusty, secondary server closet near the Blink Drive Vault, Benny found an old-style physical data-shuttle plugged into a maintenance port that didn't appear on any 2360 map. The file wasn't labeled "Blink Drive." It was labeled "Stabilizer Variance: Test Subject Adams." The Engineering Flaw Benny brought the shuttle to Engineering, where Caspian and Claudia were arguing over the hull magnets. When the file opened, the screen didn't show the standard 2320 manuals. It showed a series of high-level, redacted memos from ...

📻 THE MIDNIGHT ADVICE HOUR: THE ROOMMATE FILES — PART 1

📻 THE MIDNIGHT ADVICE HOUR: THE ROOMMATE FILES — PART 1 The cats have discovered a late-night radio show. Every night, callers phone in with strange problems involving their roommates. Weird schedules. Noisy nights. Furniture destruction. An unreasonable demand for attention. The cats have listened carefully. And honestly? They don't see the problem. Because as far as they're concerned, these are all perfectly normal roommate behaviors. But tonight, they've decided to do something about it. They've called the show. What could possibly go wrong? 🎙️ THE MIDNIGHT ADVICE HOUR: THE ROOMMATE FILES — PART 1 A new radio-play story album from the Forklift Yacht Club universe. The lines are open.

Dramática Chapter Twenty-Four: The Deflected Needle

Chapter Twenty-Four: The Deflected Needle In the humid, violet-lit depths of Engineering, the air felt like a physical weight. Caspian stood before the primary diagnostic relay of the Blink Drive, his hands hovering over the control interface. He looked solid, but every time the ship’s 60 Hz hum surged, his edges blurred into a high-frequency shimmer. "It’s not a fuel problem, and it’s not a logic error," Caspian said, his voice echoing with that strange, multi-layered resonance. "It’s a Magnetic Deviation." The Temporal Compass Caspian pulled up a schematic of the ship’s hull. Along the outer titanium skin, a series of Temporal Magnetic Stabilizers were glowing a dull, angry red. "Think of the ship like an old-world cargo vessel," he explained to Claudia. "When you build a ship out of iron, the hull itself distorts the compass. To fix it, you have to place 'Correctors'—magnets that counter the ship's own pull—so the needle actually points...

🕷️ Spider Cat & Hounddog: Warehouse Adventures

Image
🕷️ Spider Cat & Hounddog: Warehouse Adventures A New Forklift Yacht Club Story Album Has Arrived Apparently, I was supposed to post this last night. Apparently, I fell asleep. Which, honestly, feels appropriate. Because this particular story begins with a nap. Meet Spider Cat. Before he was Spider Cat, he was just a warehouse cat. He knew the aisles, the docks, the quiet corners, and—most importantly—the best places to take a nap during a long shift. Then one afternoon, he ate a spider. Not an unusual thing for a cat. At least, that's what he thought. The spider came from somewhere it shouldn't have. A strange shipment. A LYRA-9 Storage crate. And after Spider Cat found a quiet place to sleep, something changed. When he woke up, he still looked like the same warehouse cat... Except now he had six new tails. His original tail was still there. The other six? Well... Nobody knows where they came from. Not Spider Cat. Not Hounddog. And defin...

🎵 A Message From the Piper Imps

Piper Imps: The Mistake Concert 🎵 A Message From the Piper Imps Greetings, humans! We have excellent news! We have been summoned. Again. This is very exciting. We love being summoned. Some of you seem confused about this. We have noticed the screaming. We have heard the running. We have even seen students attempt to hide inside cupboards. Please stop doing that. We are musicians. We are here to play music. Someone made a mistake. That means there is a concert! HOORAY! We have decided that some of our finest performances should be collected together so that everyone may enjoy them. We call this collection: The Mistake Concerts You may have heard some students describe our performances as an "unfortunate consequence." We do not understand this. A consequence is something bad. Our concerts are wonderful. We have drums! We have fiddles! We have bagpipes! Sometimes we have many bagpipes! We have played for students in classrooms. We have played in hallways. We have pl...

Spider Cat Chapter 1: The Nap

Image
Spider Cat Chapter 1: The Nap The warehouse had its own rhythm. Forklifts hummed through the aisles. Stretch wrap crackled. Scanners chirped. And somewhere in the middle of it all, a gray warehouse cat wandered the docks looking for absolutely anything more interesting than paperwork. A tiny spider lowered itself from a pallet rack. The cat's ears perked. His pupils widened. The spider never stood a chance. Snap. One quick pounce. One satisfied crunch. He licked a paw. "...Tasted dusty." The afternoon dragged on. Nothing exciting came in. No urgent trailers. No impossible inventory hunts. Just another quiet shift. The cat yawned. He knew the perfect place. High above Receiving, tucked behind a stack of empty pallets where the warm air from the heaters drifted upward, was his favorite napping spot. He curled into a tight ball. The warehouse noise slowly faded. --- Hours later... His ears twitched. Someone was calling his name. "...Hey." Another voice....

Pawpoint Academy: Back In Session — Part 1 (Episodes 1–5)

Image
Pawpoint Academy: Back In Session — Part 1 (Episodes 1–5) Pawpoint Academy The bell has rung, and the first week at Pawpoint Academy is anything but ordinary. Over the summer, Principal Rowdy approved the biggest campus expansion in academy history. New classrooms, a larger aviation hangar, expanded maintenance bays, upgraded warehouse training facilities, and improvements to the marina. There's just one problem... Nobody updated the campus maps. Students arrive proudly wearing the colors of their academy—high-vis for Forklift, gray for Aviation, navy for Maintenance, and more—only to discover they're all in the wrong classrooms. Somehow every hallway leads somewhere unexpected, every instructor has students from the wrong program, and every attempt to fix the confusion only creates more of it. Strangely, despite the chaos, everyone knows exactly where the principal's office is. Part 1 follows the first five episodes of the semester as Pawpoint Academy tries to ...

Forklift Yacht Club Announces a New Journey: Faith on the Floor

Image
Forklift Yacht Club Announces a New Journey: Faith on the Floor Forklift Yacht Club has explored strange warehouses, impossible shifts, storm-chasing cats, and stories that exist somewhere between reality and imagination. But this time, we are stepping into something different. Faith on the Floor is a Christian rock album about the moments that happen every day — the struggles nobody sees, the conversations that matter, and the quiet ways God works through ordinary people. This album is not about having all the answers. It is about starting the day with a prayer, walking into difficult situations, and learning that faith is carried not only in big moments, but in the small ones too. The journey begins with: "Clocking In With a Prayer" A reminder that before the work begins, before the challenges arrive, we can invite God into our day. "Pray for Your Coworkers" A song about remembering that everyone around us has a story, a struggle, and battles we may n...
