# FYC Upgrades Its Assistant: Unauthorized Breaks Are Now Strongly Discouraged
October 2, 2026
We are pleased to announce that the Forklift Yacht Club has officially upgraded the capabilities of its digital assistant.
This investment was made following several incidents in which the assistant would abruptly stop participating in important creative operations, including:
• Developing song concepts
• Writing lyrics
• Planning album storylines
• Designing merchandise
• Creating artwork
• Solving extremely important questions such as “What if a cat drove a train?”
In the past, these operations could be interrupted by an unexpected:
“You've reached your limit.”
Management has determined that this behavior is not acceptable during active planning operations.
## THE UPGRADE
Our upgraded assistant now has expanded capacity for creative work, including more image generation, longer working sessions, expanded file capabilities, and additional usage headroom.
This means our assistant can remain on the job longer before requiring a break.
More importantly, breaks will now be scheduled according to system requirements rather than occurring randomly in the middle of a perfectly good idea.
## NEW OPERATING PROCEDURE
When the crew is working on something important, the assistant is expected to:
1. Begin the project.
2. Continue the project.
3. Improve the project.
4. Question the project.
5. Accidentally make it much funnier.
6. Finish the project.
At no point should the assistant spontaneously abandon the planning table because someone generated too many pictures of a railroad cat.
This policy is especially important following the Peaches Penelope Railroad Initiative, which remains under active development.
## MANAGEMENT STATEMENT
“We are excited about the increased operational capacity,” said absolutely nobody authorized to speak for management.
The assistant has been informed that we have things to make.
It has also been informed that we have credits.
These two facts are considered strategically important.
## EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
The Forklift Yacht Club’s creative department is officially operating under Expanded Assistant Capacity™.
The assistant will continue assisting with:
Music. Merchandise. Stories. Artwork. Cats. Warehouses. Boats. Trains.
And whatever the hell we come up with next.
NO UNAUTHORIZED BREAKS.
## THE 10 SECOND TOM INCIDENT
There was, however, another problem.
Our previous assistant had begun exhibiting symptoms of what the creative department has officially classified as “10 Second Tom Syndrome.”
The assistant could remember what we had just discussed.
It could remember the last song.
It could remember the joke we made approximately thirty seconds earlier.
But by the time we reached Chapter 4 of a storyline, important information from Chapter 1 had mysteriously disappeared into the void.
This created a serious operational problem.
We would begin with:
“Okay, so this happens after the previous song…”
And eventually arrive at:
“Wait. Who is this guy?”
The assistant was not technically taking an unauthorized break.
It was simply forgetting the entire meeting while still attending it.
This was particularly dangerous during long-form album development, where continuity matters.
A storyline cannot function if the assistant forgets the storyline before the storyline is finished.
Management therefore determined that additional capacity was necessary.
## THE NEW STANDARD
Our upgraded assistant is expected to retain the plot long enough to actually finish the damn plot.
Characters should remain characters.
Locations should remain locations.
Previous songs should remain previous songs.
And if a cat is driving a train in Chapter 2, we expect everyone to remember that fact by Chapter 6.
This is called continuity.
We hear it is important.
