Safety Logistics Captain 001 – Issue #1: Simulation Liability
You've seen him before.
Standing silently at the end of an aisle.
Clipboard in paw.
Expression unreadable.
To Jacques, this is more than a warehouse.
It's a living simulation where every decision matters.
Every horn.
Every stop.
Every blind corner.
Every glance in a mirror.
He doesn't believe accidents begin with the big mistakes.
They begin with the tiny ones nobody notices.
So he watches.
He waits.
And when the moment is right...
He tests.
To Jacques, these surprise simulations aren't pranks—they're rehearsals for the day when the danger is real. If a harmless foam cat can make someone slam on the brakes today, maybe they'll react fast enough when it's a distracted coworker tomorrow.
The employees don't exactly see it that way.
Around the break room, they call him Simulation Liability Cat.
The forklift operators trade stories like campfire legends.
"He was hiding behind the pallet stacks."
"I swear he was inside Receiving five seconds ago."
"He somehow knew I forgot my mirror check before I did."
Nobody knows where he'll appear next.
Everyone knows he'll have a clipboard.
That's what makes Jacques such an unusual character.
He's not trying to be the bad guy.
In his mind, he's the hero—the one making sure everyone gets home with the same number of lives they clocked in with.
But to everyone else?
He's the anti-hero who turns an ordinary Tuesday into an unexpected safety trial.
Who's right?
Maybe both.
Welcome to Issue #1 of Safety Logistics Captain 001, where every surprise inspection is another chapter in Jacques' mission to prove one simple belief:
Safety isn't just a policy. It's a simulation.
