🚧 Production Update: High Vis and Dirty Is Going Back to Receiving
Sometimes the floor isn't the only thing that needs another pass.
We've got a small production problem with our fan-requested warehouse comedy song, High Vis and Dirty.
Both versions generated by Suno picked the same overly familiar male narrator voice for the warehouse announcements. You know the one. The voice that sounds like it's been narrating every other project on the internet and has now apparently clocked in for another shift.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the plan.
The song is supposed to sound like a real warehouse comedy, with a working operator, a lost automatic scrubber, and a professional warehouse PA system announcing increasingly ridiculous situations without losing its corporate composure.
Instead, our announcements seem to have hired the same narrator twice.
Chat Has Denied Any Involvement
When questioned about the repeated voice selection, Chat denied any involvement.
Chat maintains that the lyrics were written, the vocal directions were provided, and the appropriate distinctions between the rapper and the warehouse announcements were made.
Suno, meanwhile, selected the same narrator for both versions.
At this time, no responsibility has been accepted by any artificial intelligence involved in the production.
The investigation remains open.
Back to the Drawing Board
We're going to redo High Vis and Dirty and work on getting the announcements to sound different from the main vocals.
The goal is to give the warehouse PA its own identity: a calm, professional announcement voice delivering increasingly ridiculous news about an automatic scrubber that has lost its way in aisle three.
The machine can keep its beeping.
The operator can keep his attitude.
And the high-vis vest can keep collecting dirt.
But that narrator needs to clock out.
Stay tuned for the revised version of High Vis and Dirty.
The floor isn't clean yet, and apparently neither is the production process.
🚧 Forklift Yacht Club
We make the songs. We negotiate with Chat. We argue with Suno. Somehow, the warehouse keeps running.
