π Aisle Blue — Halloween Decorations Already?
A ForkliftYachtClub story album
It’s August.
Naturally, Aisle Blue has already decided it’s Halloween.
The decorations have been sitting around since August, waiting patiently for someone to notice them. But apparently, there’s more going on in that seasonal aisle than anyone realizes.
This little collection started with a simple problem:
Everything is too damn high.
Our unnamed Aisle Blue employee is just trying to get through a normal shift when she discovers that being short might actually have its advantages. Then she starts looking for the tall guy. Then she discovers something even stranger...
The Halloween decorations might be talking.
π΅ The Songs
1. “I’m Too Short for This”
Everything is above her head. The shelves. The merchandise. Basically anything she actually needs. No stool, no pallet, no broom—and apparently no tall people anywhere nearby.
2. “Where’s the Tall Guy?”
Aisle Blue finally hired somebody tall.
Great!
Unfortunately, she can never find him.
Every tall figure she encounters turns out to be a Halloween decoration.
3. “We Need the Short One”
Turns out being short isn't always a disadvantage.
When a pallet needs wrapped, she's the perfect height to comfortably reach the bottom without doing the tall-person squat, bend, and awkward little shuffle around the pallet.
Then she's asked to help build a Halloween display.
That's when the cat starts talking.
Nobody else hears it.
4. “When Nobody’s Listening”
The Halloween decorations have been listening to each other this whole time.
The skeleton.
The witch.
The ghost.
The cat.
They've been standing in the same aisle, watching Aisle Blue go about its business while nobody realizes they're actually alive.
When the store gets quiet, they sing.
5. “Aisle Blue Halloween”
Their Halloween song.
The decorations finally get their moment to perform together—until Steve walks into the aisle.
And instead of hiding...
They sing directly to him.
They know his name.
They know he's there.
And Steve very quickly decides that whatever is happening in Aisle Blue's Halloween aisle is not his problem.

π» The Question Nobody Asked
Why are the Halloween decorations already out?
It's August.
Nobody knows.
Nobody seems particularly concerned.
And somewhere in Aisle Blue, a cardboard cat has apparently been waiting since August for its chance to sing.
So if you hear something strange coming from the seasonal aisle...
Don't worry about it.
It's probably just the decorations.
Probably.
