Amber Skye and her AI companion Agie have traveled farther than expected, beyond the reach of their known relay network. With no confirmed connection home, they did what every explorer does:

They sent a message anyway.

Then something answered.

The unknown relay.

At first, it was only a signal. A small acknowledgment from somewhere beyond the charts. A reminder that even in the vastness of space, a message can find its way to someone.

But as Amber continues her journey, the mystery grows.

The relay isn't behaving like any system they've encountered before.

The signal is changing.

The response is familiar.

And the question is no longer:

"Who is listening?"

"Why does the signal sound like us?"
