Now Broadcasting: A Signal Nobody Requested
Incoming transmission detected.
At first, it looked like a normal shift.
Radios powered on.
Operators checked in.
Dispatch prepared for another busy day.
Then something strange appeared.
Extra call signs.
Operators nobody recognized.
Channels that weren't assigned.
But every name on the list was active.
Nobody knew who added them. Nobody knew where they were transmitting from.
They assumed it was a radio issue.
A software glitch.
A crossed signal.
Something explainable.
Then someone answered.
A transmission came through from a place that shouldn't have been reachable.
A pilot named Ducati.
A ship called the Dramática.
A signal coming from somewhere the instruments couldn't explain.
The crew wasn't looking for help.
They were trying to understand why their own ship was responding differently inside the Pulsar Loop.
Meanwhile, another control room picked up the same strange signal.
Pawpoint Control was doing what they always do:
Watching traffic.
Tracking unknown contacts.
Keeping people safe.
But their systems showed nothing.
No aircraft.
No vessel.
No location.
Only a voice.
As the signals continued, another connection appeared.
A busy network of marina traffic, aircraft operations, and shipping communications.
Rowdy's Marina & Airport joined the channel.
Different locations.
Different systems.
Same conversation.
Nobody called it a rift.
Nobody called it a multiverse.
Nobody had a reason to.
To them, it was just a communication problem.
A signal bleed.
A frequency crossover.
A radio behaving strangely.
But one thing became clear:
The voices were not traveling farther.
The signal was reaching somewhere else.
