CATNADO: LYRA-9 INVESTIGATION

Part 1 Release — Tracks 1-5

The skies were supposed to be routine.

AR-7 storm research aircraft launched to investigate Tropical Storm Alpha-7, another entry in a long season of storms. Veteran pilot Ducati, meteorologist Bianca, and atmospheric researcher Claudia expected rough weather, long hours, and a stack of data waiting to be analyzed.

Instead, they found something no forecast model could explain.

As Alpha-7 intensified, instruments began reporting impossible behavior. Atmospheric patterns repeated where they shouldn't. Navigation vectors drifted without pilot input. A restricted convergence region known as NPZ-3 emerged as the focal point of growing anomalies, drawing both the storm and the aircraft toward it.

By the time AR-7 crossed into the convergence field, the storm was no longer behaving like weather.

Then Pawpoint Island disappeared.

Communications from Surf Breaker Marina faded beneath the storm as the island vanished from visual confirmation. Radar, satellite feeds, and navigation systems stopped agreeing on what existed below the aircraft.

Inside worsening turbulence, AR-7 pushed deeper into conditions beyond design limits. Structural warnings began appearing across the aircraft while emergency broadcasts interrupted normal channels.

First came Jacques from the Coastal Weather Research Facility.

Then a priority override from Catto Weather Radio.

Beam-1 delivered the announcement nobody expected:

Alpha-7 no longer fit any recognized storm classification.

A new designation had been created.

Lyra-9 Convergence Event.

Part 1 follows the moment humanity realizes it is no longer studying a storm.

It is witnessing the birth of something else.

Track List

1. Takeoff Clearance
2. Approach Vector: Unstable
3. Convergence Line (Vector Drift)
4. Pawpoint Lost
5. Beyond Design Limits

Part 2 arrives next as AR-7 enters the heart of Lyra-9 and the first reports emerge of unidentified objects moving inside the storm.

The investigation continues.
