 Tuna Standard Payroll is a sea shanty death metal concept EP that started with one simple idea: a song about not getting paid.

In a dockside system where workers reject currency and demand tuna instead, a routine payment dispute spirals into a surreal breakdown of bureaucracy, value, and reality itself. As the dock’s ledger system tries to “fix” the confusion, tuna becomes currency, identity glitches appear, and the system starts rewriting what “payment” even means.

What begins as workplace frustration turns into a chaotic, heavy, and strangely funny myth about labor, value, and systems that learn too much.
