Finally Here, Finally Home — The Shirts Have Arrived Today was the day. (Don't feel love reading? Song here, yes it's reads to you type of futuristic vibes) I checked my mail, saw the package, brought it inside, and finally got to open it. Inside were the two shirts I sent off to be made from my own artwork. Yes. Two shirts. And there’s something different about seeing your artwork on a screen versus actually holding it in your hands — and then putting it on. Forklift Yacht Club The first shirt was the one I was especially excited to see. Laizer Beam. And now she’s actually on a shirt. I put it on and just had that moment of: I can't believe I'm wearing this. Laizer Beam in her lift, driving with her sails true. Now that's right. Laizer beam LB001  Shop page This one feels like the artwork finally made it out of my head and onto something real. Not a file. Not a design sitting on a computer. A shirt. The Krampus Pumpkin: A Completely Normal Harvest If you've ever wondered how Krampus gets the enormous pumpkins he uses for his Halloween operations, there's a simple answer: He grows them. Of course, because this is Krampus we're talking about, "growing pumpkins" is considerably more complicated than planting seeds and waiting for October. For starters, Krampus pumpkins don't have seeds. They're completely hollow inside. Instead, the pumpkin's life cycle begins with something considerably stranger: the shadow face. It's less like ordinary agriculture and more like a very badly designed version of a Phoenix. The pumpkin itself doesn't immediately decay after harvesting. The vines are what eventually die back and decay, returning material to the soil. And when t...

Vocal Experiment #1

Vocal Experiment #1 This album started with two different voice experiments. The first was an attempt to recover the vocals of an existing character—seeing if we could get a familiar character's voice back. The second was something completely different: What happens when we give Suno a recording of my own voice? For this quick test, we put the voice into a normal FLY Hub night-shift scene. Captain Whiskers is leading the shift briefing, three trailers are coming in to be offloaded, Rowdy has the keys and paperwork, and the crews are getting their assignments. The scene itself wasn't the important part. The voice was. There's one problem with trying to judge the result, though: I've never really listened to myself on a recording before. So I don't have that familiar experience of hearing my own recorded voice and knowing exactly what I sound like from the outside. That makes this a strange experiment. I'm listening to a Suno-generated performance and trying to fi...
